A GPS jammer or GPS signal jammer describes a device with which the signals of the Global Positioning System (GPS) operated by the US Department of Defense are disrupted or completely blocked. Such a transmitter makes it difficult to receive radio signals properly (for example radio waves, television, mobile communications or the GPS signal). For this purpose, electromagnetic waves are emitted which completely or partially superimpose the signals and waves of the disturbed transmitter and thus render them unusable. A jammer can work on the same or neighboring frequencies, whereby the field strength of the jammer and the type of disturbed waves are important.
